One of One.
In January 1985, Rene Metge crossed the starting line of the greatest adventure rally in one of the 959 Porsche, number 186. The Paris-Dakar rally was heading to the torrid heat of the Sahara desert and brutal bone-dry course. He couldn't reiterate his grand 1984 win. But he won again with a 959 in 1986, along with a second 959 driven by Jacky Ickx.
We were kids and watched reports every day on TV, dreaming about desert adventures.
This is a one-off vintage US Army helmet bag in new condition with rare patches we collected over the years.
Patches: genuine vintage Porsche, Rothmans Racing, Bilstein Suspension, and newer patches Shell and Dakar Rally. Angry Lane patch on the back.
Handmade, hand-dyed "Remove before flight" leather tag.
You can carry your helmet and gloves, or use the bag like us, on a daily basis.
All one-off products are final sale.
